Sunrise Aviation in Ormond Beach, Florida has been in operation continuously since 1983. We are located at Ormond Beach Municipal Airport in Central Florida just 7 miles north of Daytona Beach and only an hour drive from Orlando. Sunrise Aviation has trained pilots from all over the world during the past 26 years. The exceptional flying weather in Central Florida permits VFR flying more than 350 days each year. Whether it is accelerated professional pilot training, individual courses such as a private pilot course or instrument rating, or recurrency training, Sunrise Aviation is the place to do that pilot training. Sunrise Aviation owns and maintains its own fleet of aircraft. We have the largest fleet of Cessna 152s in Florida. We are also a full-service FBO, providing fuel, ramp and hangar space, and maintenance. Sunrise Aviation is approved by the FAA to offer training under Part 141 of the Federal Aviation Regulations. Sunrise Aviation is approved by the US Department of Homeland Security to accept foreign students for flight training. Sunrise Aviation now offers training in Technically Advanced Aircraft and simulators with glass-cockpits. But we will also tailor any of our flight training packages to meet your specific needs. When you are not at the airport, Sunrise Aviation is close to many central Florida attractions including DisneyWorld, Universal Studios, Atlantic Ocean beaches, Kennedy Space Center, and Daytona International Speedway.

High quality, cost effective aviation training is essential for the success of a professional pilot. Now more than ever, pilots are challenged to find the highest state of the art flight training. Our training center is a certified FAA 142 school. AeroStar’s core curriculum is an approved course of training for obtaining the Initial Type Rating with an ATP certificate or for adding it to a Commercial Certificate. Complete all your Distant Learning ground school on your own time in your own house and save on travel expenses! Once the Distant Learning is completed, you will then pursue your simulator training in Orlando or Miami, Florida. All AeroStar’s Type Rating training is conducted in Level D simulators. Finish all you’re A-320 or Boeing 737 Type Rating training in less than 2 weeks!
