Heritage Flight Academy is a New York flight school located in Ronkonkoma and operates out of the Long Island Islip Macarthur Airport (KISP). Heritage has a wide range of Part 141 FAA-approved courses and clinics.
They offer a $99 introductory flight lesson that includes pre-flight briefing, aircraft checklist, weather analysis, flight planning, navigation, radio communication with the tower, hands-on flying, post flight question and answer, and custom flight program planning. In addition to your private pilot’s license, you can also earn a Bachelor’s degree in aviation through this New York flight school.

Heritage is just one New York flight school among many, but they do seem to have a comprehensive program. Next to their ‘Learn to Fly’ program, they will also help you study to pass the FAA written exam, and are equipped with an FAA A&P and Inspection Authorization prep program, an FAA-approved flight instructor refresher clinic, tail-wheel training and flying club, multi-engine training, and more.
