North Carolina Flight Schools

WNC Aviation is a North Carolina flight school in western North Carolina that operates out of the Asheville Airport. WNC boasts being the only FAA-approved flight school in western NC and it is the only Cessna Pilot Center in the area. They offer private instrument, multi-engine, CFI, CFII, MEI, and ATP training.
The Jacksonville Flying Service is another North Carolina flight school. This one is located in eastern NC and teaches all ratings and certifications. It is also the Cessna Pilot Center for eastern NC. New classes at Jacksonville begin every January, May, and September.

Every program at Jacksonville features concurrent ground and flight school training designed for the part-time (nights and weekends) student. Students are required to take one or two flight lessons per week from their assigned flight instructor. They are also approved by the Veteran’s Administration, so if you are a Vet, you can use your G.I. Bill money to pay for up to 60% of the costs of advanced flight training.
