Ohio Flight Schools

Choosing an Ohio flight school will depend on what you want out of it and what your budget is. American Flyers in Cleveland has been training pilots since 1939. They have three main programs: Nexus, Eagle, and Instructor Academy.
The Nexus Academy is a full-time Ohio flight school program comprised of classes of six students enrolled in this accelerated private pilot course. The Nexus can have you holding a commercial license with instrument rating and both Airplane and Instrument instructor certification in just 4 months. Eagle Academy offers flight training fully customized to your pace and schedule. Instructor Academy allows you to obtain your CFIA and CFII in 30 days and for less than $3,000.

American Winds Flight Academy is another Ohio flight school. It is Part 141 FAA-approved and located in Akron. It is independently owned and operated, nationally accredited, and features programs to obtain a professional pilot license or a commercial pilot Single Engine Land program.
